Safe Sleep

PROGRAM GOAL 3:  safe sleep awareness

Providing safe sleep education and safe sleep environments to families in the Gila River Indian Community.

 

The Injury Prevention Program provides safe sleep education to teach parents, caregivers and grandparents on how to create a safe sleeping environment and reduce risk of unsafe sleeping accidents.

  • The safe sleep class is provided twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday by appointment only. Contact the Injury Prevention Program at (520) 562-5100 to schedule an appointment.
  • Upon completion of the class free pack n play portable cribs are provided.

 

Safe sleep ELIGIBILITIY: 

  • GRIC enrolled members or resides within the boundaries of the Gila River Indian Community.
  • Must be in the third trimester or baby 0-12 months.
  • Expectant mothers that are GRIC enrolled member or resides within the boundaries of the Gila River Indian Community and have a referral from a doctor verifying their due date.
