Tuberculosis
The Disease Surveillance Program under Ordinance GR-14-09 shall require the appropriate isolation of a person with pulmonary or laryngeal TB until treatment for Tuberculosis is initiated and 3 sputum smears are negative. The department will provide or arrange for tuberculin skin testing (PPD); Direct Observed Therapy by clinical staff to ensure medications are being taken and collection and transfer of sputum tests to the AZDHS Laboratory.
