Fit Mom
The Genesis Fit Mom Program is designed to help and encourage mom’s to stay physically active during prenatal and postpartum stages by receiving breastfeeding, nutrition and physical activity education.
The intent of the Fit Mom program is to:
- Increase knowledge of breastfeeding, nutrition and physical activity
- Encourage mothers to stay physically active during and after pregnancy
- Offer support and provide healthful information
The Program Goal is:
- Prepare mother for labor
- Promote regular daily exercise & healthy food choices
- Improve feelings and well-being
- Reduce risk of Gestational Diabetes
- Sleep well
Program Activities Include:
- Stretching
- Aerobics
- Prenatal Yoga
- Walking
- Stability Ball Exercises
- Pelvic Floor Exercises
- Baby & Me Exercises
Classes will cover a number of topics, in addition to our instruction, we hope to enhance the mother’s ability to exercise throughout her prenatal and postpartum stages.
