Dead Animal Pickup

Gila River Animal Control Program is not mandated to deal with dead animals.  We encourage animal owners and homeowners to either bury the animal themselves or bring it to the Animal Shelter located in District 5 which is open from 12:30pm – 4:00pm Monday through Saturday.

Dead animals are considered either solid waste and/or road hazards and could be handled by other GRIC Departments/Programs.  Gila River Animal Control will, as time permits, take calls as needed to deal with carcasses found on the roadways or in public areas.  These calls will normally have a low priority and be dealt with as time and resources permits.
